Pender County Tourism: Burney's Opens in Hampstead
Burney’s Sweets & More, a Southeastern North Carolina favorite, from Clinton to Southport, has opened in Hampstead.
Located at 14542 US Hwy 17, in the Hampstead Station shopping plaza, Burney’s Sweets & More is owned by William and Milushka Reed. It’s a family franchise with the original Burney’s granddaughter working in Hampstead, as well as Milushka’s mother, Nora.
“I worked in the first Burney’s franchise in Clinton,” said Milushka, adding that she also worked in the Tar Hill location.
“This is something I love,” she said. “At home, I love to bake.”
